Hoarding Disorders UK are collaborating with Lynn Crilly and her team on their next mental health film, ‘A Day with Hoarding’. Hoarding is a complex and complicated condition, and together we want to produce a short film to highlight and educate the viewer on some of the challenges surrounding hoarding behaviours. We also want to dispel the myths, stereotyping and stigma often associated with this condition.
Lynn is an award-winning counsellor, author, film producer, mother to twin girls and grandma to twin grandchildren, a boy and girl. Having supported one of her daughters Samantha through anorexia nervosa and OCD, she was keen to use her newfound knowledge and passion to educate and inspire others. She developed her own unique form of counselling to support those impacted by these conditions. She continues to work with families battling mental health issues and is excellent at bringing hope to those that face complex challenges on a daily basis.
Lynn’s daughter Samantha who is one of the writers and actors says:
‘Humour is an important part of everyone’s lives and helps bring us together.’
Lynn’s films take a satirical look at mental health whilst also being empathic, informative and humorous.
We are looking for some help in raising funds towards the production costs. Any help you are able to give will be much appreciated.
This is a not-for-profit project, with all monies going towards producing and promoting this film.
